Are you ready to step into the New Year of 2026 renewing your creative practice with adventure & expression? Are you ready to dive into your painting practice and connecting to your work on a deeper level? If so, this 7-day Encaustic Painting Retreat Workshop is for you.
It will be an enriching retreat of cultural exploration in the heart of colonial Mexico, wandering colorful streets, enjoying delicious food and creating in this workshop bursting with color as you are immersed in this historic city full of beauty.
This will be a time to nurture the whole self, to slow down and soak in the environment with all of your senses. I will lead you through techniques capturing textural inspiration and mixed-media photo collage, providing you with the opportunity to make art wherever you are in your art practice.
You will be empowered to show up and be a "YES" to yourself while learning new painting techniques to uncover your unique voice. I will guide you through different exercises working in a fun, playful, yet meaningful way to not only allow life changing shifts, but also a beautiful time in San Miguel de Allende, one of their favorite cities in the world!

Day 1 (Monday, January 5): Arrival day. 7:00 p.m. Welcome gathering in the evening with Introductions, a light Botanas dinner with margaritas or Agua Fresca.

PRICING
$500 deposit holds your spot - balance due 10/31/25
Early Bird price of $2,995 USD through June 30, 2025 and $3,500 USD after and limited to 12 participants in double-occupancy,shared rooms (or private rooms available for additional $800.)
Payments accepted via Bank transfer, check or VenMo @Jodi-Reeb.
Single occupancy is available for an additional $800 USD.This option allows you a private room, OR to bring your partner or guest, who will not be participating in the workshop. Exclusions: Airfare, transportation to and from the airport Mexico not included.
Airport Details: Arrival at Leon International Airport, Guanajuato (Code: BJX) or Querétaro on Monday, January 5, 2026 and arrive by 4:00 p.m. Central Time. (Welcome Dinner starts at 7:00 p.m.)
Airport Shuttle: The journey to Casa de la Noche is approximately 90 minutes and is included but you need to notify us of your flight plans to arrange transportation.
Venue Highlight: Casa de la Noche, a historic building lovingly transformed by Barbara Poole, a patron of the arts, is a short walk from the central Jardin in San Miguel de Allende. www.casadelanoche.com/
Cancellation Policy: Any individual cancellation must be made in writing and will be effective upon receipt. If you cancel within 90 days of a trip or workshop, there will be no refunds.
Options if you cancel before the 90-day period:
If there is a waiting list, I will connect you with the first person on it so you can offer your class spot. If this person agrees, they will need to pay you directly for your spot. Once this transaction is complete and both parties are satisfied, we will transfer your spot to them. If there is no waiting list, you will forfeit your deposit or the full fee if you have already paid in full for the workshop.
The second option is to transfer your fees to another retreat with me within the next 12 months, subject to a $100 administrative fee.
If neither of these options works for you, there will be no refund. There are no exceptions to this policy. Deposits and arrangements are made well in advance of the trip.
Expenses incurred by participants in preparation for the trip (e.g., non-refundable airline tickets) are not the responsibility of Jodi. Participants are strongly advised to obtain medical/trip cancellation insurance.
